Annie

Annie is the tallest and the gentlest of our therapeutic herd. She is a beautiful palomino with topaz eyes. She especially loves kids and lowers her head to allow petting. She has been a mainstay, working with a teenager that came to us through the Juvenile Division of 13th Circuit Court. Annie has taught acceptance, forgiveness, communication skills, reliability, responsibility, gentleness, and caring for something other than ourselves. She has also taught mindfulness and the ability to regulate anxiety, irritability and stress. Additionally, she also works with Veterans in the Horses 4 Heroes program. She became a steady influence in the life of one of our Veterans who had gone through the Horses 4 Heroes program and kept coming back to work with and spend time with Annie. Many other people in the Masterson Method program for Veterans and kids have also benefited from connecting with Annie.
