Axel

Axel is a lovely Percheron Quarter Horse cross. His shorter stature and broader body mean he is a great match for many programs as he can easily carry kids and adults without an intimidating size. Axel has been used in almost every aspect of ranch life, from adaptive riding lessons and hippotherapy to veteran programs and volunteer instruction. This year he is even becoming comfortable with the only program he hasn’t yet mastered – trail riding! As a young-ish teen member of our herd his curious personality and child-like energy is a huge hit with everyone he meets.  Axel also wins the prize for best forelock, as no one can resist braiding his amazing hair.
